    UCI Annual Forum Dicusses Urban China 2025+

    The 2016 UCI Annual Forum was held on December 15 in Beijing. The theme of UCI’s 2016 Annual Forum was Urban China 2025+: Innovative, Inclusive, Green. This year, UCI cooperated with China Center for Urban Development (CCUD), The World Bank, Energy Foundation and Hang Lung Center for Real Estate of Tsinghua University to provide insightful discussion on urban innovation, inclusive city and green city. Our speakers also included leading figures from the public, private and academic sectors. Jonathan Woetzel, Co-Chair of Urban China Initiative, Director of McKinsey Global Institute and Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company, chaired the conference.

    2016 UCI Photo Contest Winners Announced —— With participation of the World Bank, photographers focused on “Inclusive Cities”

    The Urban China Initiative (UCI) announced the prize winners of its 2016 Photo Contest. The winning photos were selected from more than 10,000 entries from all over China. This year’s UCI Photo Contest received support from the World Bank and China Photographers Association.

    UCI Co-Chairs Jonathan Woetzel and XUE Lan Meet Premier LI Keqiang

    UCI Co-Chairs Jonathan Woetzel and XUE Lan were invited to give advice on the next steps of China’s economic and social development during the 13thFive-Year period at an unprecedented meeting of Chinese and international experts with Chinese Premier LI Keqiang. The meeting was held at the NDRC's main hall with about 150 cadres in attendance. It was broadcasted on CCTV 1, and extensively covered by mainstream Chinese media such as Xinhua and Renmin.
